A Day of Rest
The morning began with our first week’s exam. Although I was anxious initially, I feel comfortable with the exam and its results after having taken it. The rest of the morning featured a short lecture in preparation for our 3 day/2 night field trip to some exciting historical sites in the southern part of the country. (I will probably report the exact locations after we return.)
So in preparation for such a fun filled adventure, I took an impromptu 2 hour “power” nap. We had a free afternoon and used some of that time to get some much needed rest. After dinner, a few of us made a quick run into the Old City (Jerusalem). I have wanted a prayer shawl from the Jewish Quarter and we went to a bookstore that had been recommended and was able to find a really nice one.
So after I get this posted this evening, I will be packing an away bag for our southern adventure. On this trip we will not only be visiting some biblical ruin sites but also having the opportunity to swim in the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. Everyone is extremely excited and we will all appreciate your prayers as we travel across the country.
As we will be gone for the next two nights, I may not have the opportunity to post for the next two days, depending upon the availability of wireless internet.
Shalom
