It has been a couple of crazy weeks! Tomorrow, I saddle up to join my family in Oklahoma. They have been gone for two weeks and I am missing them terribly. I will join them and stay for a week. Then, we will head back to Kentucky.
I have been preaching for the past six weeks in a two point charge and looking forward to accepting the student pastorate when offered. Running out of sermon topics on my own, I began preaching from the Lectionary. The first two weeks of Lectionary proved rewarding for I had studied the two parables (The Sower & The Weeds) in my classes this past semester.
I am still working construction this summer and wandering the halls of the seminary keeping everyone safe from the evil of Wilmore. Amy is being considered for a part-time/half-day kindergarten position at the boy's school (very close to home). Amy is enrolled in 5 hours at the college continuing her masters in education while I am enrolled in 9 hours at the seminary.
The boys have had a fun and busy summer. They have attended VBS at the Wilmore Free Methodist Church were we have been attending (until I began preaching), they completed summer swimming lessons, they have been to the Louisville and Tulsa zoos (maybe next week the Wichita zoo), visited the Louisville Science Center, picked strawberries at Boyd's Orchard (local orchard, KY), toured the Tulsa Space and Planetarium, and on and on.
Looking forward to seeing as many people as possible on my trip to Oklahoma!
God Bless

I saw your boys at church a couple of Sundays ago. They both have really matured and were extremely friendly. I'll be praying for you to have a safe trip to Claremore.
