Friends and Family,
It has been an eventful week! I've been preparing for a final exam on Monday, writing up a case study analysis, and reading like mad for my children's lit course. Naturally, this is in the midst of helping the boys with their homework, making things for Ethan for Dr. Seuss week at school, and hosting two seperate dinners. The boys and I have been going to church on Wednesdays and the boys love it. Ethan is eager to participate in anything at church. I also go to a Mom2Mom group on Friday mornings. Just a large group of moms who meet for a devotional and share our praises and prayer concerns. It has been a great help to me. I am also participating in a women's small group bible study on Sunday afternoons. Last Friday, a couple from the church who also just moved here in October from Michigan, invited us over for dinner. They have two girls (6&4) and a toddler boy almost 2. The kids had a great time and we enjoyed hours of adult conversation and sharing our very similiar stories. We were very blessed this week to be able to, for the first time, have dinner guests. Tuesday, we invited the neighbors, Jen and Byron, and their two kids, Jonathon and Aubrey, over for dinner. I just happened to make too many enchiladas and they are best eaten fresh. We knew that Jen had qualifying rounds, to start her dissertation for her PhD, the next day, so we figured she may not feel like cooking and cleaning up. It was a great time. Even though Jen and Byron's kids are older (3&4 grade) they really enjoy playing with our kids. On Thursday, Mark invited a fellow student over for dinner. This was especially pleasant for us, since the student has only been here for about 3 weeks from Seoul, South Korea. Yoon Kim is married with 3 kids, but his wife and children are still in Korea. He is expecting them sometime in May. He was very excited about being invited for dinner - I can only imagine how lonely it must be for him. He enjoyed sharing his story of how God called him to Asbury and his struggle with adjusting to such small town life. He is eager for us to meet his family and join them for dinner at his house. While he was here, he told us about a Saturday Korean Language class for small children and their families! He thought we might be interested in going. I am sure we will be seeing more of Mr. Kim, at least until his family arrives! Mark's classes seem to be going well. You can get more detailed info on his blog at www.losinginterest.net. Hope all is well with everyone. Feel free to write back and let us know about your lives. Blessings.
Amy

That will be lots of fun for your boys in learning a little more of their heritage. I am excited for all of you. Miss you though :(
